Our Story
Williams Income Tax Service, Inc. is a corporation that operated as a sole proprietorship initially and was incorporated in 2020. WILLCO U.S. LLC is a partner corporation that functions together as a "Small Business Consulting Group" that offers Tax and Accounting Services and Human Resource Consulting, WILLCO U.S. LLC also sponsors the Board of Directors for Small Business Owners. Co-owners, Greg and Joan Williams have both owned and managed small businesses. Williams Income Tax was founded in 1978 by Greg Williams while Joan Williams began her Human Resource consulting career in 1995 as Williams Consulting. Greg and his wife Joan, share the vision of providing small business owners with the management tools necessary to not only survive but to be profitable and thrive in today’s economic climate.

President and CEO
Tax Advisor and Financial Operations specialist, Greg Williams is a native of New Bern, North Carolina, and a graduate of North Carolina Central University (NCCU) in Durham, NC. Holding a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Commerce Accounting, Greg also worked on a Master's Degree in Management at Eastern Michigan and the University of Phoenix.
With more than 30 years of auditing, accounting, and tax consulting to small businesses, mid-sized automotive-related companies, and major corporations Greg understands firsthand the challenges of small business. A trusted advisor to his business clients, Greg’s number one priority is the small business owner and helping them grow their businesses. Greg's #1 goal is to assist business owners in expanding their operations while achieving the greatest tax advantages. He has authored several winning business plans that have helped take his clients’ businesses to the "next level". Greg has also prepared several "Offers in Compromise" to the IRS for clients who were struggling to manage large tax debts and liabilities.
Before WITS and WILLCO U.S., Greg performed significant financial roles for major corporations in the consumer and electronic industries including Cost Accounting roles for Ford Motor Company, senior accounting roles for Philip Morris Corporation, and preparing financial statements for senior leadership and the "Board of Directors". As a previous Controller with Allen Bradley Company, Greg brings experience in "financial reporting systems" and experience in "cost accounting" and "corporate tax".
Later in his career, Greg worked with the CPA firm of Alan C. Young & Associates for more than eight (8) years, as an audit manager for KPMG, LLP working on financial audits with the City of Detroit and Detroit Public Schools. This experience included responsibility for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) as well as the preparation of financial statements for the City of Detroit Enterprise Funds.
Having lived and done business in multiple states, Greg brings an in-depth understanding and an appreciation for the tax laws affecting small business, particularly in the states of MI, TN, VA, NC, SC, AL, and California. As a "Certified QuickBooks consultant", Greg also has considerable experience with small businesses and non-profit organizations.
Joan
Williams
Vice President
Joan brings more than thirty years of corporate Human Resource experience, Executive Coaching and Consulting to business owners, CEO’s, and Presidents of major corporations. A native of Lansing, MI and graduate of Michigan State University, Joan has broad industry experience in the computer industry working with Digital Equipment Company and Hewlett Packard (HP), aerospace industry with NASA, electronics and automotive manufacturing industries with Ford Motor Company as well as foreign owned companies in the United States. Joan holds a graduate degree in HR Management and Counseling. Post graduate education includes an Executive HR program at Stanford University School of Business as well as being certified for Board of Directors placement by Northwestern University.
Prior to WILLCO U.S., Joan held numerous executive level HR positions with Fortune 500 corporations, including nine years as the Chief Human Resource Executive in North America for a multi-national $500 million electronics company. Reporting to the CEO, she was a key advisor providing executive coaching to the President and his executive team in the areas of strategic planning and organizational effectiveness. In addition, Mrs. Williams has experience with many change initiatives including improving company processes, procedures and helping CEO’s create a culture where employees can be most successful. Her last corporate role prior to WILLCO was with a French owned $3B global corporation as the Vice President of Human Resources for nearly 10 years.
